3Acceptance and governing documents
3.1. Acceptance of these Terms is a condition for using the Platform and is given electronically.
3.2. The Privacy Policy and the specific conditions of each Plan or offer form part of these Terms. In case of conflict, the following prevail in this order: (i) the specific conditions of the purchased offer; (ii) these Terms; (iii) the Privacy Policy.
4Purpose and nature of the service
4.1. Through a Subscription, DoctorQuest provides access to a digital medical education platform for learning and looking up electrocardiography.
4.2. The purchase grants the User a fixed-term license to access the Content and features of the purchased Plan. It does not constitute the acquisition, ownership or permanent transfer of any material.
4.3. Features vary by Plan. Plans do not include a certificate of completion unless expressly stated.
4.4. The Platform is intended solely for education and professional reference, as set out in Section 5.
5Educational purpose and medical disclaimer
5.1. The Content is purely educational and informational, intended for the training and continuing education of healthcare professionals and students. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, prescription or treatment for specific patients, and it does not replace clinical judgment, individual patient assessment or consultation with a licensed professional.
5.2. Use of the Platform does not create a physician-patient relationship between DoctorQuest (or its authors) and the User or any third party.
5.3. Clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic decisions are the sole responsibility of the professional, who makes them with technical and ethical autonomy, in light of the specific case, current guidelines and institutional protocols.
5.4. The Content reflects the evidence available at the time of publication and may not incorporate the most recent guidelines. The User is responsible for checking the information against up-to-date sources before any practical application.
5.5. In urgent or emergency situations, the applicable care protocols must be followed and appropriate medical resources sought.
5.6. The ECG tracings, images and clinical cases in the Content are used for teaching and are presented in de-identified/anonymized form, so that patients cannot be identified, in compliance with Brazilian Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law). Any clinical data shown is illustrative and does not constitute personal data of identifiable individuals.
6Artificial intelligence features
6.1. Certain Plans offer AI Features, which are educational tools that support study and interpretation.
6.2. AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, omissions or errors (“hallucinations”) and must always be critically assessed by the User. They should not be used as a sole source or as an automated diagnosis.
6.3. AI Features do not replace professional assessment or responsibility for clinical decisions, which remain human and non-delegable, in line with the rules of Brazil’s Federal Council of Medicine (Conselho Federal de Medicina) on the use of artificial intelligence as a support tool.
6.4. Data entered into AI Features is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The User must not enter data that identifies real patients without an appropriate legal basis and purpose.
6.5. Use of AI Features is optional, and their availability depends on the purchased Plan. The User may stop using them at any time.
6.6. The User’s interactions with AI Features may be stored to allow continuity and personalization of study and to continuously improve the feature through anonymized analysis, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7Registration, account and credentials
7.1. Access requires registration with true, complete and up-to-date information, for which the User is responsible. Registration and purchase are restricted to persons aged 18 or older with full legal capacity; by registering, the User declares that they meet this requirement.
7.2. The account is personal, individual and non-transferable, for the exclusive use of the account holder. Credentials are confidential; the User is responsible for all activity on their account and must report any unauthorized use immediately.
7.3. Sharing the account, credentials or access with third parties is prohibited, as is assigning, lending or transferring the account.
7.4. Each User may hold only one (1) active Subscription in their name. Simultaneous subscriptions linked to the same User, whether under the same or different registrations, are prohibited.
7.5. Failure to comply with the individual-use rules in this section (items 7.2 to 7.4) constitutes a breach of these Terms and entitles DoctorQuest to suspend or terminate the User’s access, without refund of amounts paid, without prejudice to the other measures provided for in Section 17 and in applicable law.
8Plans, subscription, renewal and cancellation
8.1. The Subscription is offered on an annual or two-year basis, according to the prices and conditions shown on the plans page at the time of purchase.
8.2. Unless otherwise stated in the offer, the Subscription renews automatically at the end of each term, at the then-current price, by charging the registered payment method, until the User cancels the renewal.
8.3. The User may cancel the renewal at any time. Cancellation prevents future charges, and access remains until the end of the period already paid, without a prorated refund, subject to the right of withdrawal (Section 13).
8.4. Price changes will be communicated in advance and apply only to subsequent renewals.
8.5. Where the offer allows payment in installments, installments are only a method of paying for the purchased annual or two-year Plan and do not convert it into a monthly subscription. The User remains responsible for the full amount of the purchased term, subject to the right of withdrawal (Section 13).
9Content license
9.1. During the Subscription, DoctorQuest grants the User a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and non-commercial license to access and use the Content, limited to educational purposes and to the purchased term.
9.2. The license does not permit redistribution, resale, sublicensing, public display, collective use or the creation of derivative works from the Content.
9.3. DoctorQuest may use protection mechanisms (e.g., identifiable watermarks, device limits, access logs and detection of simultaneous use) consistent with digital content platforms.
10Copyright, intellectual property and citation
10.1. The Content, the Platform and their elements are protected by Brazilian Law No. 9,610/1998 (Copyright), Law No. 9,279/1996 (Industrial Property), Law No. 9,609/1998 (Intellectual Property Protection of Computer Programs) and other applicable rules.

The trademarks, names, logos and visual identity “Aprenda ECG”, “Aprenda ECG Pro” and “DoctorQuest”, the domain aprendaecg.com.br, the Platform, the app, the layout, the ECG and question databases, the videos, texts and other materials are the exclusive property of Doctorquest Ltda. (CNPJ 63.001.498/0001-27) or its licensors, and no rights to them are transferred to the User.
10.3. Copying, reproducing, distributing or making the Content available, in whole or in part, without DoctorQuest’s prior express authorization is strictly prohibited.
10.4. Citation and reference: excerpts of the Content may be quoted for study, criticism, commentary or academic reference, provided that (i) they are limited in length and do not substitute for the original, (ii) they do not reproduce entire chapters, modules, the question bank or videos, and (iii) the source is expressly credited (Aprenda ECG / DoctorQuest), much like citing scientific articles in the medical literature. This permission does not authorize redistribution, commercial use or the creation of derivative materials.
11Prohibited conduct
11.1. The following are prohibited: (a) copying, reproducing, printing at scale, distributing, reselling, sublicensing or making the Content available on drives, groups, social media or any repository; (b) sharing files, links or credentials, or allowing third-party access; (c) removing or circumventing watermarks, technical protections or legal notices, or modifying the Content; (d) using the Content to teach lessons, classes, courses or consulting services (paid or free) without express authorization; (e) using bots, scraping, reverse engineering or other means to bypass technical limitations; (f) using the Platform for unlawful purposes or in ways that violate the rights of third parties.

12.1. Prices are those shown on the plans page at the time of purchase. Payments may be processed by Asaas, our payment processor, subject to its own terms.
12.2. DoctorQuest does not store full card details; processing is handled by Asaas, our payment processor.
12.3. Non-payment or a declined charge may result in suspension or termination of access.
13Right of withdrawal and refunds
13.1. Under Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor), the User may withdraw from the purchase within 7 (seven) calendar days of the purchase date and receive a full refund of the amounts paid, without having to give a reason.
13.2. Requests must be made through the official channels (contato@doctorquest.com.br). Refunds are processed free of charge, to the same payment method, subject to the timelines of the payment processor and the card issuer.
13.3. After the withdrawal period, there is no prorated refund for the current term, except in the legal cases of defects or failure to honor the offer.
14Availability, maintenance and support
14.1. DoctorQuest makes efforts to keep the Platform available but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or third-party factors (hosting, connectivity).
14.2. Content and features may be updated, reorganized or improved over time.
14.3. Support is provided through the stated channels on business days.
15Bonuses and promotional materials
15.1. Any bonuses are granted at DoctorQuest’s discretion and for a limited time, are not part of the main purpose of the Subscription (unless expressly stated) and may be updated, replaced or discontinued without entitlement to a refund or term extension. The intellectual property rules apply equally to bonuses.
16Limitation of liability
16.1. The Platform is an educational tool. DoctorQuest does not guarantee specific results, such as passing exams, competitive examinations or board certifications, or clinical performance, which depend on factors beyond its control.
16.2. DoctorQuest is not responsible for clinical decisions made by the User, for misuse of the Content or AI Features, or for damages arising from third-party factors, unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure.
16.3. To the extent permitted by law, DoctorQuest’s liability for proven direct damages is limited to the amount paid by the User for the Subscription in the 12 (twelve) months preceding the event.
17Suspension and termination
17.1. DoctorQuest may suspend or terminate access, while preserving evidence, if there are signs of a breach of these Terms, fraud, piracy or abusive use, without prejudice to any applicable legal action.
17.2. The User may close their account at any time, subject to the provisions on renewal and refunds.
18Changes to these Terms
18.1. These Terms may be updated at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the available channels. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
19Communications
19.1. Communications between the parties take place electronically (registered email and notices on the Platform). The User is responsible for keeping their contact details up to date.
20Personal data protection
20.1. Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Brazilian Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD), which form part of these Terms.
20.2. DoctorQuest may use, in aggregated and anonymized form, data on usage and interaction with the Content (for example, answers to questions and tracing interpretation patterns) for scientific research, statistics and educational improvement of the Platform. Once irreversibly anonymized, such data does not identify the User and does not constitute personal data under the LGPD. The User may object to this use at any time through the official channels, as described in the Privacy Policy.
21General provisions
21.1. Assignment. DoctorQuest may assign or transfer, in whole or in part, its rights and obligations under these Terms to affiliated companies or as a result of corporate transactions, such as asset sales, restructuring, mergers, spin-offs or acquisitions, preserving the conditions purchased by the User. The User may not assign or transfer their account, or the rights and obligations under these Terms, without DoctorQuest’s prior express consent.
21.2. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain valid and in effect, and DoctorQuest undertakes to replace the affected clause with one that meets, as far as possible, the original purpose.
21.3. No waiver. Tolerance of any breach does not constitute a waiver, novation or amendment of what was agreed, and DoctorQuest may require compliance at any time.
21.4. Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the specific conditions of the purchased offer constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding their subject matter, subject to the order of precedence in clause 3.2.
22Governing law and jurisdiction

22.2. The courts of the User’s place of residence shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, in accordance with the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
