ARVC is a genetic condition that predominantly affects the right ventricle, leading to replacement of myocytes by fibrofatty tissue and predisposing to malignant ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.
Electrocardiographic Changes
- Epsilon wave
- Terminal activation delay (TAD): time from the nadir of the S wave to the end of the QRS complex in V1–V3 ≥ 55 ms
- Nasir index: summed QRS duration in V1-V3 divided by summed QRS duration in V4-V6 > 1.2
- QRS fragmentation: 4 or more deflections in the QRS complex
- T-wave inversion
